Meet Dr. Vikram Annamaneni
Dr. Vikram Annamaneni was known for performing complex gastrointestinal surgeries for both benign and malignant disorders of the gastrointestinal system. Born in a remote village in a agriculture based family, Dr Vikram Annamaneni pursued his primary education from government schools. With best ranks in entrance exams, he got admission in highly reputed institutes for medical education in India - Guntur medical college (MBBS), Andhra Medical college (MS General Surgery), GEM Hospital (DNB Surgical Gastroenterology). He got further refinement of his knowledge & skills in Gastro cancer surgery by working in TATA cancer hospital, Mumbai. He worked with extraordinary personalities in the fields of gastroenterology, minimal access surgery and Gastrointesitnal & HPB Oncology. He received Gold Medal in Surgery, 2014 & Young Scholar Award at National level in Surgical Gastroenterolgy, 2018. All along his academic career, he received many awards at national levels, published research articles and contributed to chapters for the academic books of his field.
